I was interested in reading this book, as my husband is keen on growing Chilies, particularly for summer barbecues, and a specialized book seemed just the thing to increase my own knowledge. The book begins with fascinating facts about some of the different types of Chilli plant, with excellent photographic illustrations of some of these strange looking fruits of the Capsicum family. The Scoville Scale tells of the 'heat' in each type, from 0 to 1.5 million! There are ten well written recipes which make good use of the vital ingredient, and more recipes for Chilli Sauces.

I love chilies. You will find good variety of chili recipes in this book. Recipes are tasty and healthy. Looking forward to using it a lot more.
I love chilies and have many recipe books on using them. However this book have quite a few recipes I haven't tried. I like the way the author has used dishes from around the world from Mexico to Portugal, India, Thailand and many, many more. Simple book nicely laid out with great ideas.
Although it starts off with a good description of different kinds of chilies, it's light on both information and recipes.
I love spicy food but I didn't know that were so many different kinds of chilli until I read this book.
Well illustrated and very nice recipes that I'm willing to try, specially the chilli prawns from Spain ... yummy )
This book talks about the different chilies and peppers used in cooking and their varying degree of spiciness. There are also many delicious recipes you can make with chili including sauces, dressings, prawns, chicken, and pork loin. Tasty!
This book is a great source of inspiration.
We like to eat chicken often but so far we have had a bit repetitive recipes.
Now I have found a book that can help me with this.
Next time it will be Chicken Piri Piri from Portugal.
I also like the chilli sauce recipes in this book.
I have grown and eaten plenty of chilies, but when I read this book I realized how little I knew about them. Now I certainly know a lot more than before. The recipes are useful, and I was particularly interested in the variety of chili sauce recipes in this book.
